Fun Pet Projects

AI-first IDEs have the potential to significantly boost pet projects and startups. Many ideas remain unimplemented due to time constraints or the tedious nature of certain tasks. I personally experienced this when I delayed developing a bot to notify about third-party updates for over a year. The main challenge was integrating with Slack, the primary messenger for most companies I work with. Although not technically difficult, dealing with Slack’s API and message construction was time-consuming and detracted from the core development work, making the project less enjoyable. Now, with AI-first IDEs, such barriers are removed, reigniting the excitement of development.
