Cursor 1.2
Cursor 1.2 released:
- Agent To-dos: the task is now divided into stages, like in Junie. Ideally, this should improve adherence to algorithms, as they will most likely be inserted into each message. It doesn’t turn on every time — apparently depends on the complexity of the task.
- Queued messages: if you add messages to the chat while working with the agent, they will be sent to a queue instead of interrupting the current generation as before.
- Memories (now GA): memory has been improved. Perhaps now it will be somewhat useful compared to Memory Bank.
- PR indexing & search: continued close integration with GitHub.
- Performance: claims 24–37% improvement in search and acceleration of completion from 300 ms to 200 ms.
- Let Agent resolve merge conflicts: thanks, no need :D
- Background Agent improvements: something else improved, but I don’t use them, so I don’t know how useful they are.
I don’t know what’s currently in JetBrains, but they used to stand out precisely because of their todo list and the “sequence” of work as a result. Now this is also present in Cursor ¯_(ツ)_/¯
