Sourcegraph has introduced Agentic Batch Changes, a tool for large-scale code changes across many repositories.

It takes a change description in plain language, creates a plan, tries to make the change in one repository, and then rolls it out.

If the build and test check (CI) fails, the tool responds and prepares pull requests for human review and merging. For a large migration, it writes scripts more often than it launches a coding agent.

Sourcegraph charges only for changesets merged into the codebase. There is no charge for an unmerged pull request. Agentic Batch Changes is available to Sourcegraph Cloud customers and is enabled for them by default.
