Selling Tech Culture via AI Agents
Hmm, I have a brilliant (or idiotic, you never know) thought.
As a Techlead and Head of Engineering, I have constantly faced the fact that it is not enough to adapt best practices or technologies; they then need to be “sold.” And more than once. As a result, a simple “let’s make an APM with four panels for each service in a day” in a startup turns into a year-long adventure in a large company. Walking around, persuading, asking to be put in plans, checking — and so many times.
Maybe instead of persuading people, just start spreading such practices through corporate agents in AI IDEs? We can write commands and context there. Let it suggest sketching SLIs for a service and tell how to make a dashboard in Grafana for them. Or a unified naming style. Or SAST in CI.
